Duncan coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral and are part of the Dendrophyllidae family.   They have a disc-shaped body and short, purple or green tentacles that can retract into their bodies.  They are a good beginner coral.

 Duncan coral like moderate light in the range of 100 - 200 par.   

Duncan coral have large mouths and benefit from spot feeding, but it’s not required.  

Water flow should be moderate but indirect flow for Duncan coral.  Their tentacles should flow with the water but not be whipped around.       

Duncan corals are generally peaceful corals, but still give them a bit of room as they can grow fast and encroach on other coral.  

Water Quality:  PH 8.0 – 8.4, Nitrate 5 – 10 (best to keep it stable), Phosphate 0.05 – 0.1, Alkalinity 8 – 9 dKh, and Calcium 400 – 450.
